What do our guests have to say?
“Just had a great weekend at Wollombi (Hunter Valley) in a sympathetically restored convict built stone cottage with 12 ft ceilings and period furniture. The cottage has been converted into accommodation and now includes an ensuite within each room but it still presents as a traditional cottage. There is also a separate family unit available. The cottage was built in 1840 for the Magistrate and a jail still remains under the building. There is a good restaurant and the staff are very helpful. The property is located ion 100 acres.”
“We spent three peaceful and enjoyable days at Mulla Villa Guesthouse, in a lovely two bedroom cottage. Excellent amenities included air conditioned bedrooms, a modern bathroom and our very own bull nose verandah, graced with two rocking chairs. The grounds are superb and the restaurant has an interesting selection of wines. We also liked the new pool area, which is a pleasing addition to the property. Friendly and informative staff, and an interesting tour of convict built buildings and cells rounded off a very pleasant stay. Mulla Villa is an ideal location for an exploration of Wollombi and its pretty little village and vineyards, close to the Hunter Valley.”
